Gary Johnson voters in swing states and Mitt Romney voters in uncontested states now have a way to swap votes, resulting in a win-win for both sides. Go to http://garymittvoteswap.com to connect.

This could make a difference in this very close election. Conservatives in safe states are NEEDED.

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: garyjohnson; libertarianparty; libertarians; medicalmarijuana; newmexico; rockymountainhigh; whytheycallitdope
This could really make the difference.

Sounds interesting, but my guess is Obama supporters will be pretending to be Johnson supporters just to get Romney supporters to blow their vote. How about Gary Johnson asking all his supporters to stop thinking he has any chance whatsoever of making any difference in this election and tell them to cast their vote for Mitt Romney. Anything less is unacceptable. IMHO.

BAD idea!
This would only weaken Romney and might even tip the vote in a “safe” state.

There are NO safe states;every vote is needed to establish a strong mandate to reverse the evil and socialist policies and arrogant executive orders of obama.

PLEASE,no one waste a vote on any third party candidate.

This election is truly one of life and death for freedom, the unborn, and America.

Some libs did something similar in 2000 with a site called “Nader Trader.” It was for people in “safe” red/blue states to swap a Nader vote for a Gore vote in a swing state.

It was deemed to be a violation of election law.

No decent person could support the Libertarian platform.

Libertarian Party Platform:

Throw open the borders completely; only a rare individual (terrorist, disease carrier etc.) can be kept from freedom of movement through “political boundaries”. Eliminate the Border Patrol and INS.

Homosexuals; total freedom in the military, gay marriage, adoption, child custody and everything else.

Abortion; zero restrictions or impediments, of any type, at any time.

Pornography; no restraint, no restrictions, full advertising and marketing.

Drugs; Meth, Heroin, Crack, and anything new that science can come up with, zero restrictions, full advertising and marketing.

Advertising those drugs, prostitution, and pornography; zero restrictions.

Military Strength; minimal capabilities.

There are NO safe states;every vote is needed to establish a strong mandate to reverse the evil and socialist policies and arrogant executive orders of obama.

Look, all the polling indicates that although the electoral vote count is up in the air (swing states), at this pt it looks strong that Romney will win the popular vote...

With this appearance of already winning the popular vote, a few more thousand votes isn't going to create a "greater mandate" for policy change than that!

That's like saying, "Well, we've already cooked this meat @ the # of degrees needed to cook it for the right amount of time, but we better burn it just to make sure."

You're undergirding a myth nobody buys that a few thou more votes than otherwise somehow makes some national impact upon a "mandate" -- as if only those few thousand voters control a nation-wide perception on what's a "mandate" and what isn't...

Ridiculous...

PLEASE,no one waste a vote on any third party candidate.

If EVERY vote for a third-party candidate constitutes a "wasted vote," then every vote for Romney in 10 blue states where Obama got 60% or more of the 2008 vote is likewise a "wasted vote"...In both cases, you're voting for a losing cause in that particular state...And we know there are 10 extremely solid blue states ... + D.C.

You have no consistency in your claims

Given the choice between ABO and Obama, you’d really rather go with whatever gives Obama more votes?

Johnson might siphon off enough votes from Romney in Iowa or Ohio to tip the election to Obama, but I doubt it. The turncoat ran in GOP primaries only to switch to Libertarian Party when poor baby didn’t get the nomination. Waaaaaaaa! How honorable is that?

I’m with you! Third party doesn’t have a chance and with the polls so close in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania, we can’t afford to lose any votes!

If Johnson, Goode, or any other joker, take away one vote from firing Obama, it would be a crime.

Oh,BS.

You seem to be saying Republicans should not bother to vote in the 10 “blue” states because the Dhim have a majority. So instead of a possible 60/40 split you would have it 99/1 ? The Dhims could then claim a solid mandate for all kinds of crap ,plus you would lower the popular vote count so that did Romney win the electoral vote ,he might be behind millions of votes in the popular count, thus giving ammunition to those who would cry “Republicans are stealing the election against the will of the people”.

Besides it ain’t over ‘til the real votes are counted.Polls aren’t elections.
