They were the same way during the Bush/kerry campaign. Michel Moore was simply giddy. They thought for sure it was a kerry landslide.
They were celebrating long before the polls closed because the lines were so long (they thought, obviously, all those people must be voting for john kerry.)

They were wrong then, too.

I was lurking on DU during the Bush/Kerry election and I can’t remember ever being more entertained. At first they thought Kerry had it in the bag and when the tide turned there were bleeding hearts melting down all over the place. I never witnessed more gnashing of the teeth in my life and probably never will. There were F bombs flying all over the place and numerous threats to leave the country.

Back then I was posting on a political message board----combined Reps and Dems. A fat lesbian lawyer (liberal, naturally) actually composed a song to Kerry and Edwards on the eve of the election, and posted the lyrics. It's been a long time, but it was something pathetic and flowery about the rising of a new dawn with no hate.

Wow, did the Republicans on the board enjoy ripping her for that one after Bush won, LOL.
