That's it. I'm done with the GOP. No more. I am leaving the party and registering independent of no party affiliation.
Call me when there is a Conservative Party to replace the GOP.

I am seriously considering donating to Corey Booker if he runs against Crispy for Governor.
He would be the first Democrat I would ever have given money to.
I did that just before the 2008 election and registered independent.

Romney’s own record was frightful enough for me, and he gave it a hell of a try and even he couldn’t come up with a win, so yes you are right.
There will never be a conservative elected in our lifetime. Even with fiscal collapse, this is who America is now.

I agree, Romney made some mistakes like Not being agressive enough after the first debate, but he did far better than McCain, far better than Dole, far better than GHWB in hia re-election. Also he had to battle an extremely hostile media. Not going to dump on him, but at the same time I agree with Pat Cadell that this election was winnable. I also agree that at some point, e Reps have to go after other groups than white men and married women. Just foing to be increasingly difficult to win national elections with this strategy going forward.
Remember W won by being semi succesfulwith the hispanic vote.

I agree, I had wanted Newt but after watching Romney in the debates and how much he had to tip-toe around to gain any ground. Newt could have never won over enough independents or squishy sorts. Same with Santorum.
Romney had a fantastic work ethic and that did impress me about the man. They worked hard and a more conservative candidate wouldn’t have gotten as far as Romney/Ryan did.
I have decided America isn’t center right— it is center left. Republicans are really democrats and democrats are socialist/communist. Conservatives are a minority.
It would help if we could have honest elections but we are too chicken to try and force that to happen. Most of our elected officials could give a crud about this country and the people that they represent—they care about power and money.
We try to play by the rules and they only chit in our face.

Well Jose, I wish you and you daughter muck love and luck. I taught my children and now my grandchildren that the most important thing in life is freedom. They can all recite my lectures by heart. :-} In fact my 13 year old granddaughter just confronted her other Grandparents last week. They are Obama voters and my granddaughter wanted to know how they could support a POTUS who abandoned American warriors in Benghazi when in our Army family they know that nobody gets left behind.
I didn’t even know she knew about Benghazi but let me tell you, I was one proud Grandpa. God bless.

Alao, it needs to be said againthat Obama is the first president to be re-elected with less EV...remember Bush improved his EV total. Obama won by the skin of his teeth, in a D+6 election. He has absolutely no mandate nor any power to push his agenda without control of congress.

Having lost the opportunity to take back the Senate, and the House run by Bohner, I think the House will tack to the center-center left. They will want to be accepted by a feckless public who simply want Obama to give them things. Does anyone think they will wake up tomorrow and the money sitting in accounts waiting for sanity to set in and buisness will start spending money and hiring. I do not think so. I think people will devise a way to preserve their capital. No jobs. What is obamas plan to create jobs. I am still waiting to hear the answer to that question. Israel is hung out to dry. North Africa will burn at a greater rate. Bernanke’s helocopter will fly and drop its fools gold. Obamacare will results in millions dying prematurely via death panels. Our country will wax worse and worse. Events like Benghazi, the indifference of obama to the effects of Sandy, the lies will continue. We have crossed the Rubricon and the dye is case. We have thrown off and counted as nothing the sacrifice of our forefathers who died that we might be free. We now have set those sacrifices at nothing and will reap the whirlwind of our indiffernce. Romney would have been a moderate, but we have chosen a vengeful and self-indulgent leader. Now we have gotten what we choose. PostChristian America, given the choices made proceeds headlong into the darkness of Godlessness. No good thing will come from this choice. But it is the choice of America and a choice that will impose a destruction we can not now fully appreciate. All fingers are taken from the dike and the crumbling will accellerate. This is unbelievable except that 50% + 1 will be takers. The rest of us will have to pull an everincreasing heavy load or get on board. In its essence we have forsaken freedom and liberty for government provided subsistence. We deserve neither. I cannot come to conclude that if people are forced to endure hardship forced upon them by the force of raw government power they will see the error of their ways and be beset by an overwhelming desire and yearning for freedom. Once it is lost, it will never come back. Our posterity deserved better that this. My children deserved better. Your children deserved better. What a future we have arranged for our children,..trillions in debt to the communist Chinese which can never be hoped to be paid for...and a leader who has designs on stripping every dollar known to result in a desolation of hopelessness. Has Atlas just shrugged? I think he may well have done just that.

I have had no success with my preferences for candidates in the primaries so I have nothing to lose there.
