Stop whining. Half the country supports a massive welfare state and wants freebies. That is hard to overcome. Romney became a good candidate and NONE of the more conservative alternatives that ran in our primaries this time around would likely have done better. Especially considering we had idiotic candidates like Cain in the mix who had utterly no chance to win a real general election campaign.
I’ll add to that. The conservative base needs to do a better job of nominating “true conservatives” to Senate races. We are shooting ourselves in the foot over and over again by nominating buffoons like Akin, Angle, O’Donnell, etc. These are winnable seats we are throwing away and dumb candidates.
It is not whining to make a statement of fact: I am DONE with the GOP. I am re-registering independent.
I believe we hit the tipping point. we can never win again until an total economic collapse.

As much as I do not like this nomination Romney wasn't the problem in this case.
In my opinion we will skate for 15 to 20 years then we will be finished as a nation.
