Right...and thanks. Anecdotal at best, but certainly hopeful if true.

One of many questions I hope he answers is, Who told Woods to stand down?

CIA said they never gave any orders to not help the people at consulate/mission.

WH party-line is no order to stand down was ever given and that perhaps Woods and annex men misunderstood that they were merely being told to “wait” until Libyan reinforcements could arrive.

He won’t spill the beans nothing will ever happen to Obama.

Spot on.....This is all theatre. Petraeus will claim “national security” will not allow him to go public with his information and any attempt to tie a cover-up to o will be seen as racially motivated. Remember that clintons’ perjury was breathtaking in its scope, yet nothing happened.
Same here..tempest in a teapot.

All the President had to do to issue a "stand down" order is refuse to grant Cross Border Authorization for the forces (jets and C-130) standing on ready at Sigonella Naval Air Station in Sicily (only 400 miles away from Benghazi).

CBA must be granted by the President before U.S. forces could enter Libya. CBA cannot be delegated...it requires Presidential approval.

Freeper Travis McGee has written widely on this subject.

I saw that and ws tempted to post it here- but the part about friend who has Tomb of The Unknown duty gave me pause. If true- he just endangered his friend. Loose lips sink ships. Aside from that part- I want with all my heart to believe the rest of it.

We’ll see if the former four-star has the guts of an infantryman.

Please let me know who the “Four” are. I have no time for white flag wavers. I prefer to associate with those who vow to continue to fight, no matter the odds.

I hope he tells the truth. And he better hire a slew of body guards and set up elaborate defenses around his home.

Very familiar with CBA, thanks to Travis.

The other lie that DoD told was that they needed permission from Libya to enter their air space.

Last night (this past Saturday night[haven’t found video]) on Judge Jeanine, Col David Hunt & Gary Bernsen, former CIA officer...

At min 52, they are at a map describing what they are certain could have been done and in what amount of time.

Judge: And let’s talk about, you know, you kinda hear this argument coming out that we have to get permission from the Libyans to go in their air space.

Hunt: No, there is no air space in Libya. There’s no air force in Libya. Air Force or Navy ... would not care. If they are told to go, they are going to go.

Judge to Bernsen: Do you agree?

Bernsen: Agree, agree. There’s no air force. They have no spare parts. They can’t fix anything. There is nothing flying, really, no military aircraft flying in Libya right now.

It’s a high honor to serve as guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (very selective process)...not that reflects on the comment in question.

You know, sometimes, in the flow of questions and answers, information - other than the specific, narrowly-defined subject of discussion - might surface.

Of course, that can only happen if the witness has such info.

I personally can’t imagine that “The Director of Central Intelligence” - a man publicly disgraced and humiliated - might know, well, “stuff.”

What do you make of this?

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1112/83835.html?hp=l1_b1

Gen. David Petraeus, who has stepped down from his position as director of the CIA over an extramarital affair, said this week that he “screwed up big-time,” a close friend of the general’s told CNN.

“You know, he…expressed deep regret for what happened, the damage he had done and the pain he had caused his family,” said Ret. Col. Peter Mansoor, who served with Petraeus in Iraq. “He called his action morally reprehensible and said, in his words, ‘I screwed up big-time.’ And boy did he ever.”

Mansoor, speaking on CNN’s “Out Front” Tuesday evening, said Petraeus loved his position at the CIA.

“He really enjoyed his job at the CIA, it was the best job in the world, as far as he was concerned,” Mansoor told CNN’s Erin Burnett. “He had a good relationship with the president and national security team, and he threw that all away for…due to a personal failing. He is very, very down right now.”

(snip)

I was under the impression that under the UCMJ adultery is a court martial offense. What I do not know is does it constitute a ‘crime’.
