I am 5'5”, 123 lbs., and that is what I have. The gun guy at the store said that is the one I needed and he was right. It is small enough to hide anywhere. I have a fanny pack for it that looks like a lady's purse, not like a guy's fanny pack. Rip the back of “purse” down and the gun is in your hand. It could also fit in any purse you have as long as the purse isn't totally tiny.
I was told it is used a lot for a cop's backup weapon since it is small with no external hammer to get caught on something. I put hollow points in mine for stopping power.
A few days ago, I was cleaning out my closet and came across a target practice sheet I used a firing range. There is the silhouette of the man with his center chest filled with numerous bullet holes in an expanding circle. There is one at the bottom of his body in a special place.
My company of my sister-in-law and her husband were coming to see me for Thanksgiving so I taped this shot up man on the front of my bedroom door. When the husband saw that, he laughed and laughed. Then, he said, “Did you do that?” I said yes, do you think that would give someone pause before he broke in my bedroom? He said, “Yes, I wouldn't go in there.”
I'm leaving that on my bedroom door.
Great minds think alike!
Thanks just pulled a shotgun from the gun cabinet in case the bad guys come back.Sure it’s not loaded but I can show it.
If you have a gun it is to use - NOT for show. Even if the gun is loaded it won’t do any good if one doesn’t have the will to use it.
An unloaded gun MAY scare the bad guys away, or they’ll shoot you, or they’ll take your gun and beat you with it.
“But cannot pull trigger on Ruger SR9c.....any other suggestions for really really limp wrists?”
Hammerless Smith and Wesson in .38 Special. Read my post 121.
I was also looking for a trigger I could pull easily due to the same problem you have. Gun guy that said get this Ruger, sneaked one under the counter so I could pull the trigger and it is easy to pull. You can do a smooth pull with this gun without jerking the gun around trying to pull it.
My Mossberg has 5 high-brass rounds of #1 buck in it at all times. Though at the range I practice with cheaper low-brass bird shot (#6, 7.5, or 8). I do fire the (expensive) high power rounds through it from time to time just to keep acquainted with the recoil. Heck in my state it is even legal to drive to the range with it loaded and laying across my lap. (just not allowed to have a round in the chamber of a long-gun in a vehicle) Now that would make for an awkward scene if someone tried to car-jack me... ;-)
Stay safe. Get you a bat or a knife till you get your self a gun.
My reccomendation- a 357 mag ruger lcr. Shoot .38 caliber bullets out of it and .357 bullets in case you need more power. Its an effective caliber and a relatively simple gun to operate.
First cousin's favorite for CC. His daughter carries one also.
So pretty yarddog,lovin this pic.((((Hugs)))
Thank you, she has always been pretty even as a baby. Not quite as pretty as her late Mother but close. They are coming here to Florida for a week at Christmas. I will get a chance to teach my grandchildren gun safety.
I am certified by the NRA as a firearms instructor and by the State of Missisippi as a hunter safety instructor. I also taught skeet at the University of Southern Mississippi for two years.
Tuck the stock tightly under your armpit so the recoil wont hit your shoulder directly. Get a cop to load it if you need help with that.
Thanks for listening. now i will stop bothering you. =)
((((Hugs))))yarddog you will teach them much more then that.
No bother,I will not feel threaten again end of story.Whatever it takes.
The best weapon for home defense is a small, pump-action, 12-guage shotgun. You dont want to use a handgun for home defense. If you have to use it, your adrenaline will be pumping, youll be shaking, you will miss your target.
***Perhaps the Judge .410 is a good compromise between handheld rounds and spreading rounds. For inside use, would it have similar stopping power & chance to hit target as a shotgun? For that matter, what about a .38 with snakeshot? Where does one go to see the difference in effect?
LoL!!
Also, isn’t the Judge the only handgun that allows washer rounds? Seems like a great compromise gun.

I have a storm 40 full size and I love it. I have big hands and it fits perfect.
My husband owns and shoots lots of different handguns. He suggests a .38 caliber or 357 revolver. Not a snubnose and preferably with a laser sight. I have a lightweight Taurus.
