I am pulling for Klein, but don't really have a dog in the fight this year. A fellow Baylor grad and my hometown's superstar, Robert Griffin, won last year, so I'm just glad to sit back and watch without all the emotion this time around! Others' thoughts?

I sort of like Klein too.

Is he a senior this year? If so he will not get another chance.

What does it look like.

Can I have it.

Do you think the guys on Pawn Stars will give me a reasonable deal on it?

I’m going with Teo. Like the idea of a strictly defensive player winning for the first time.

I really want Klein to win it, but I don’t think he will. He deseves it though!

I’m sorry, but I hate that a freshman won.

I watched the show and am very impressed with those three young men. Congrats to Johnny Manziel - it will be fun to watch him for three more years.

Herschel Walker came in 3rd as a freshman. Wow. He was the first ever ‘freshman’ All-american. Jeeze. Times have changed.

Congrats to Manzell. All three nominees were deserving. If it were in my power, I would have handed it to the Army quarterback, Steelman, who finished his collegiate career as a 4-year starter, but who never beat Navy. Last minute fumble on the Navy 14 as they were driving for the win. And that’s from a Navy alum who is glad we won, but empathetic for an Army team with more guts than any FBS school.

Manziel is 20 years old and is older than Mark Ingram was when he won as a sophomore. Manziel is a ‘redshirt’ freshman in other words a sophomore.

No matter who wins, someone somewhere will scream, “RACISM!” Bet on it.

Congrats to Johnny Football. You’ve made us proud down here in the great state of Texas. Our granddaughter will be going to A&M next year. Great school! Gig ‘em Aggies!
