Word For The Day, Monday, 12/24/12

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

jubilate; verb

: rejoice

Etymology: Latin jubilatus, past participle of jubilare; akin to Middle High German jū (exclamation of joy), Greek iygē shout First Known Use: circa 1641

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!

Here is my example with WFTD.

Tonight we will jubilate

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Instead of saying it’s about time I’ll just say “jubilate”

Two of my kiddos were 42 weekers so I can empathize with Mary running late.

2012 was nothing to jubilate about, But Merry Christmas anyway!

And Blessings in 2013 in spite of it all.

Tomorrow is Christmas, don’t you be late
To celebrate and jubilate
If your morals are falling
When *St. Peter’s calling
Just be like Obama and bloviate

*See if he votes for you, Barry.

Merry Christmas eve-which I will not be spending with my daughter-my SIL is working on a project in SC for a few months-not too bad because he has family there-so my daughter packed up their dog and drove over there to spend Christmas with him.

While Obama is surfing in Hawaii
And going to dinners of state
Many of us will use the original
Reason of the day to jubilate

Good thing that is what we learned-
Gifts are tiny when we are broke-
If Obama’s barbecue cost ten bucks,
Most of us couldn’t buy the smoke

But we’ll be better for it, too-
Because that is what was intended-
We’ll still love our simple gifts-
They’ll pout when the party is ended

King Herod lost track of the other eleven tribes AND the Three Wise Men after they left Bethlehem, so everybody missed His Birthday.

Yeppers, t’was a bad case of jewbelation and tribulation, of worry and woe.
