Government at any level, has no business “owning” real property. They fully understand that property is one of the few remaining things with lasting value, so have embarked on a diabolical scheme to eliminate private ownership.

I never thought I’d see the day when our local, state, and federal governments engage in stealth war upon the average taxpaying citizen. And it’s become almost impossible now to cut off their funding.

And they know it.

I work with the I-Codes and code officials every day. Code officials could make your life hell with their interpretations long before the adoption of the International codes. Nothing has really changed that. The I-Codes simply replaced regional codes and for someone trying to design buildings in different areas of the country it was a pain. Is the issue that it is called “International” codes? That was likely done for capitalist reasons - so other countries would adopt it and they could sell more code books.

I have some experience with a few ISO codes. It seems like the primary purpose of the codes is to generate paperwork to prove that you are in compliance with the codes. Where I work, we have about 100 employees, four of which are tasked with maintaining paperwork to demonstrate that we are in compliance with various ISO modeled policies.

They are stupid and expensive. Avoid at all costs.

“WITHOUT COURT ACTION OR NOTICE THE CODE OFFICIAL CAN:
1) Enter your house whenever he – the sole interpreter – deems reasonable.”

I see Make my Day, Castle Doctrine, etc., being implemented, then they can be carried out feet first.

The New World Order is coming. It is being push by members of both parties. It has been for over 100 years.

The only way to beat this is at the local level but, the problem is as always, educating the people and getting them to meetings. We have bombarded a couple meetings and I have personally been fighting much of this since the 90’s.

We have had a tough enough time getting TEA Party people educated and active with politics, this is even harder. They have us fighting on all kinds of levels and with no resources, all is difficult.
