the one criticism I have of the show - it's too slapdash too many times - the patriarch loses all his money in a bad investment, and all of a sudden Matthew inherits another fortune from some guy we never heard of before who just happens to die at the right time, and all is well again - a few too many coincidences and ontrivances at times - but not enough to make me not want a fast forward to season four......

I agree... I wish they'd slow it down. It goes at warp speed at times. I don't understand why...

And no wonder...look at who the bossman is...Julian Fellowes. (or is it Julian Fellatio?)

From what I read here, Julian Fellowes is heterosexual (he has a wife and son), and is a conservative, per this paragraph:

Parliament

On 12 January 2011, Fellowes was elevated to the Peerage by being created Baron Fellowes of West Stafford, of West Stafford in the County of Dorset, and was introduced in the House of Lords the following day,[10] where he sits on the Conservative benches.[11]

Hell On Wheels

My husband and I are huge Hell On Wheels fans... I'm surprised I don't see this show discussed at all on FR. In some ways, Hell On Wheels seems tailor-made for conservatives / FReepers...

Production for Season 3 of Hell On Wheels is supposed to start in spring 2013.
