Yngwe’s first solo album, Rising Force is awesome. After that, you’re right, he starts to sound the same. Plus, he fired any musician that was as good as he was. If you listen to Rising force, the keyboard player was able to mirror Yngwe’s lines note for note at the same tempo. I like what Steve Vai said about him, “He blows his wad at least three times each song”.
Lars is probably still hated among metal heads after Napster and Metallica seems content to have lame lead guitar compared to what Ride the Lightning had.
