I put out an E-lert to my intel loop about this when I heard about it from multiple sources, including WND.

One of my contacts conducted some “research” and concluded that I was perpetrating a hoax and that my warnings are “garbage”.

They wrote:

“I’ve just checked Law Enforcements Targets, Inc., http://www.letargets.com.

They don’t sell that crap. Some wing nut has copied their adds, changed the pictures, titles, and come up with phony order numbers, NMH-1,NMH-2, etc

We’ve got better battles to fight than fake ones the nuts dream up.
I’d bet some Islamists did the work.”

Of course we could expect letargets to come clean on this just like Slick Willy told us the truth about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, right?
You can trust one of DHS’s suppliers; they’re not like the others....

...are they?

IF this is a hoax, then someone went to a lot of trouble to construct it.

Can anyone confirm that these targets have actually been produced and supplied to the jackboots?

WND claims that the DHS has already paid around $2 million for them - that’s a lot of money for targets... especially if they don’t exist!

http://www.wnd.com/2013/02/company-selling-targets-of-kids-got-2-million-from-dhs/?cat_orig=us

If this is an elaborate hoax, then I’ll be feeling pretty punked; but if it’s legit and the target co. is lying and trying to cover up (I can’t imagine that, can you?) it would fit the well established pattern woven by the federale’s of their apparent (if not obvious) preparations for an all out civil war against the American civilian population... probably focused on certain ethnic and religious demographic segments of said population, as these “targets” either realistically or facetiously might suggest.

The recent government purchase of billions of rounds of .40 JHP ammo which is prohibited for use in warfare as “barbaric” by the Geneva conventions, IIRC, is just part of that evolving and sinister pattern.

We seem to have a few posters in here who are advancing the “Right wing conspiracy” accusation along with my contact who has summarily dismissed me as a purveyor of “garbage”, while others see this report as legit. Can someone with connections please run a credibility check for us here?

Previous thread.

Is Your Local Police Department Using Pictures of Pregnant Women and Children for Target Practice?

It's kind of funny that they put up an explanation/apology for their "No More Hesitation Targets" if they didn't/don't sell them. It's right there on the page you linked to.

"The subjects in NMH targets were chosen in order to give officers the experience of dealing with deadly force shooting scenarios with subjects that are not the norm during training. I found while speaking with officers and trainers in the law enforcement community that there is a hesitation on the part of cops when deadly force is required on subjects with atypical age, frailty or condition (one officer explaining that he enlarged photos of his own kids to use as targets so that he would not be caught off guard with such a drastically new experience while on duty). This hesitation time may be only seconds but that is not acceptable when officers are losing their lives in these same situations. The goal of NMH is to break that stereotype on the range, regardless of how slim the chances are of encountering a real life scenario that involves a child, pregnant woman, etc. If that initial hesitation time can be cut down due to range experience, the officer and community are better served."

If the http://www.letargets.com site is legitimate, then they are apologizing for something on their front page...left side.

“We apologize for the offensive nature of our “No More Hesitation” products. These products have been taken offline due to the opinions expressed by so many, including members of the law enforcement community.

This product line was originally requested and designed by the law enforcement community to train police officers for unusually complex situations where split-second decisions could lead to unnecessary loss of life.

Consistent with our company mission as a training supplier (not a training methods company), we will continue to seek input from law enforcement professionals to better serve their training objectives and qualification needs. We sincerely appreciate law enforcement professionals for the risks they take in providing safety and defending freedom.”

I first saw an article about them yesterday. I thereupon went to their site, and saw all those targets there. They were in the “scenario targets” category:

They have since been taken down, but I saw them there yesterday.

The “Wayback Machine” internet archives site also has the targets in question. Look quickly before they get scrubbed, because Wayback complies with site owner requests to take stuff down.

While they may have taken the web page down, the images are still on the site for anybody who knows the URL:
