Yup. I find it hard to see how Armstrong can be show as damaging the post office.
If (and it's a big "if"), the contract had some sort of a morals clause that is shown to include illegal drug use, then his use of drugs is a breach. There is no "I made you better off than the alternative" defense to breach of contract.
