I’m talking about the final product not the creators.
I like Adele’s music but that performance was weak.
That Teddy Bear skit was the low point of the entire evening.
NP... I'm trying... SOME of them are damn good movies..
There are a lot of bad book and music as well. Do you also not read or listen to music?
AMEN! I can tolerate the "Drive-By's"... I don't understand the ones that keep hanging around...
Sorry for the double post-been to the green room:)
Taratino wins for Original Screenplay...
One of the few movies I didn’t see... and, probably never will.
There was still a lot of liberal propaganda in films then, if one looked for it. Acting was considered an awful profession for many, many years.
McCarthy was right about them.
Oh, if you only knew... ;-)
I don’t listen to modern music. I do read, classic books, history, when I can afford it. I also own some movies, mostly westerns, values movies.
When did I say it's been all hunky dory? What I said, is that I haven't seen FR fail to handle a live thread in the last few years, except for maybe one time when it choked.
Heck, I've seen all the outages and break downs too. I've been on here every day, since about 2005. I just haven't seen what you claim. One would have to be an occasional visitor to not have noticed that the site's been needing a hardware upgrade for a long time now.
Thankfully, JohnRob has finally done that, and will soon be doing more.
Dustin Hoffmann to Piers Morgan: God Bless You For What Youre Saying About Gun Control
Feb. 24, 2013 9:30pm Mytheos Holt
Hollywood is known to be a hotbed of liberal sentiment, and the Oscars are often nakedly political events, in terms of the selection of nominees and winners. Still, naked politics during red carpet interviews, which are more often occasions for bland discussions of clothing choices, is something of a rarity.
But that didnt stop Dustin Hoffmann from explicitly endorsing a political position in his red carpet interview with CNNs Piers Morgan. Mediaite caught the video:
I was watching you on television, and I think you said something about turning fifty, Hoffmann said to Morgan.
Im not turning 50. Im 47! Im turning 48, Morgan protested.
I know. Nevertheless, that means I could be your father, Hoffmann joked. So treat me with a modicum of respect.
Have you had a little shot of tequila before you came out? Morgan asked, laughing.
No, no, I thought Id have a little bit of vodka this time, Hoffmann responded.
A little pleasant banter about the feeling of being nominated for an Oscar seven times followed, after which Morgan asked the question that touched off Hoffmanns outburst.
Do you still get starstruck? Morgan asked.
I feel extraordinary that Im talking to you! Hoffmann replied. And God bless you for what youre saying about gun control!
Well, thank you. Ill have to have you onto my show
Here ya go, on the Red Capet no less.
sometime, Morgan chuckled.
Yes! Hoffmann said.
Morgan has been one of the fiercest and most unrelenting critics of gun rights since the shooting at Newtown, clashing with everyone from Breitbarts Ben Shapiro to radio host Alex Jones on the subject. One feels rather safe in assuming that Hoffmann would be a fairly light easy experience, given those previous experiences.
They were serving Woodford Reserve in my green room... :-)
You support those who wish to destroy America and our values. Where’s the humor in that?
I am happy to announce that neither I or anyone in my family has spent one red cent in a movie theater this year. The trash and claptrap put out by the likes of the Hollywood trash is not worth one red cent
Well at least he did mention “God” so at least that’s something.
“Heh. I just got through watching a western a few hours ago.... The Border Sheriff (1926), starring Jack Hoxie. Is that one old enough for you?
Certainly preferable to watching a bunch of backslapping, Obama-worshipping, degenerate”
Ladies and gentleman, FR’s answer to the 13 yos on Youtube who post comments on Led Zeppelin songs complaining that they were born in the wrong generation.
“Has Seth MacFarlane made a Trig Palin joke yet? Again, burn in hell, Hollywood.”
Yeh he’s basically an idiot. When I first heard he was going to host the Oscars, I was like *yawn*
