NO... It WOULD be cheaper... no question. Because health care would be rationed, and there would be almost nothing spent on innovation.

Over time,most of us would be worse off.

Call me crazy, but I prefer systems that benefit the most productive in our society. That way, Darwinisn works to our benefit.

Because health care would be rationed, Healthcare is rationed now by people whose bottom line depends upon them paying out as little as possible. So I don't see how that's a valid criticism of a single-payer system.

Please don't take this as a 'personal attack', but you must be insane if you believe it will cost us 'less'.

Let me ask you this.... Since the 'government' will be 'paying' for our 'health care' (don't laugh too hard....), do you think that employers will give us huge raises to make up for the 'cut' in costs for health care that both the employer and employee were footing the bill for, and that was considered part of the 'salary' ?
