Beats me! Maybe it was from a different universe.

A truly enjoyable series.
I started watching To Baker when I was a kid.

‘Him’panions would throw off the entire time continuum.

the half hour segments stank badly

The Brits certainly love their quirky references.

OK, thanks.
My obliviousness to TV shows is unsurpassed. Never watched Star Trek either, believe it or not. Did not own a TV until I was 32, and then only to watch Magnum PI and Miami Vice.
To: GeronL
What I liked about the show back then is that it was low budget but intellectual.
Any teenage kid could aspire to a production like that..

I don’t think I had a TV until then either.
I never saw Magnum PI or Miami vice.
I did meet Tom Selleck in HI. They were shooting a scene where I was staying.
He was a regular decent guy.

I really liked Eccleston. You might say he was "Fantastic". I liked him and Tennant as well. When Matt Smith first appeared I didn"t like him at all, but he grew on me and is an OK Doctor. It would be an interesting twist if the Doctor regenerated as a previous version. That could be a good mystery.

“Well, Dr. Who. ‘English Bob’. The Duke of Norfolk—whatever you’re calling yourself these days ...
What happened? You run out of Chinamen?
“You been talkin’ about that queen of yours? (Sucker punch)
“On Independence Day? (Vicious kick)
“Wait a second ... Is your last name Smith? Or Eccol-who’s it?
“Never mind. I had you confused with the ‘Duck of Death.’
