It was you that said “real boy and real girl” then followed that by piercings and tats.
Not my issues if other people didn’t care to respond.
These were real kids doing a real thing, whether they had tats/piercings or not.

It's a great story about a remarkable girl and the great friends she has, which also says a lot about her. Piercings and tats are irrelevant at this point, but for the record she does have pretty good size ear gauges. As the father of a 15 year old girl who wasn't even allowed ear piercing until she was 13, and no gauges ever, I did notice. But then, if it was my daughter dying, I would have let her make some of those adult choices she would never grow old enough to make.
