I agree.

Maybe the question should be what 3 movies lived up to the hype?

I am sorry but all of the star wars movies were over hyped.

Great themes and all that, but way over hyped.

movies that are hyped are never good.

Sort of like restaurants with good food don't have great views and vice verse.

1. Forrest Gump
2. The English Patient

Those are way above everything else for being overrated, I think.

Anything with Will ferrell, Clooney and Damon. I’ve always thought DiCrapio was a below average actor. he looked the same in everyone of his movies and I;m tired of watching Freeman and Sam Jackson as well.

Unlike Daniel day lewis who changes his appearance in every movie..

I love the underdog film on the low budget that just blows you away with its wonderful self.

I love a psychological profile to be built of characters rather than car crashes chase scenes and explosions.

Zero Dark Thirty. Zero Dark Thirty. Zero Dark Thirty. Draggy and meandering despite the excellent source material. Would have been nice if the producers had invested some money on a decent script.

Plan 9 and Glen or Glenda were both written and directed by Edward D Wood Jr. There was no hype to live up to.

"I’ve always thought DiCrapio was a below average actor. he looked the same in everyone of his movies...'

He is, and he does, although I would make an exception for The Aviator.

Most anything with Jim Carrey in it, all the Michael Moore crock-u-mentaries, most of the Batman movies and 10,000 BC.
