I think the most overrated film by far is Crash. Won best picture, is perpetually at the top of the Netflix charts, and it is just a really stupid liberal melodrama written by a pathetic one time scientologist. The only vaguely interesting thing about it is that it is somewhat of a window into the inner thoughts of self hating liberals.

I liked the movie because it ran at a good pace and kept the audience guessing. Yes, the black characters were saints and the white characters were somewhat amoral. But that's how lily-white Hollywood has been asserting its superiority to the rest of white America for decades, so I don't even skip a beat any more.

I remember seeing that disaster.

A buddy said we had to see it. That it was all the rage.

Afterwards he raved about it. I looked at him like he had a third eye in his forehead.

Next would be Slingblade.

i'll second that one. Rented it while on vacation in the Upper Peninsula. all I could say was "what an emotionally stunted overwrought turd burrger!"
