Face of the furious husband who put up a sign to shame his wife

A scorned husband who hung an angry message to his ex outside his house claims he took the drastic action after finding his estranged wife had stripped the property of all their belongings.

Robin Baker, 45, said he put up the homemade sign outside his house in Coalville, Leicestershire, to inspire men not to let their ex walk all over them.

The truck driver is in the process of divorcing his wife of 22 years, Jeanette Baker, 47, with whom he has three grown up children.

He said the pair mutually agreed to end their relationship in April last year, but claims he returned home last week to find the semi-detached property empty - with even the curtains and curtain rails missing.

Robin said even the plants in the back garden of their £127,000 home had been uprooted and removed by his soon-to-be ex-wife.

They agreed to divorce a year ago, and it seems he never changed the locks or put deadbolts on the house?

A distant relative went throught the same thing recently. The ex, who left him and their children for her new boyfriend, stripped the entire house, even the food in the refrigerator. He had been dealing with her in good faith but came home from work one day only to be greeted with the echo of his footsteps and a completely stripped house.

These women should be horsewhipped.

There is an important lesson here for anyone getting divorced. No matter how amicable, and how much you trust at the time, be absolutely certain to take immediate action on the following items: Change all your passwords, change all the locks, change the security alarm code, and put the portable valuables into secure storage (ask your lawyer about this).

Don’t ask me how I know.

I’m dealing with the same thing this weekend. My soon to be ex stole my family heirlooms, hacked into my personal new bank acct and transferred all funds into her acct. Seems they identity verify by a string of personal questions, mothers maiden name, ect. All this after she wanted the divorce due to “new” “perfect” boyfriend.

Ho Chi Minh was nothing compared to the guerrilla (stealth) warfare waged by the ladies when they are sufficiently motivated

women view assets and the inherent child custody power they get as tools for revenge and manipulation or whatever strikes their fancy

and they use them

even if they leave you

it’s their nature

men...if leaving the woman...just want to be gone...and pay for it

choose well to start with

It’s not just the women. My ex’s put the woman he left me for up to posing as me to try to sell our home that the kids and I were living in and that was in my name. I believe in something called the D-day divorce - if you walk out, you leave with only the clothes on your back and nothing else accumulated from the marriage.

We knew a Mrs. who told all the couple’s friends that she was going to divorce her husband, but she did not tell him. She carefully waited until the gentle soul had nearly wiped himself out, physically and financially, fixing up their home and doing all the landscaping, then her lawyer served papers on him and told him to scram. He was totally surprised. Those of us who had heard the divorce threat kept quiet, because we kept hoping that they’d just had a tiff and that they would work things out. She and her lawyer cleaned that fellow out. The Mr. died young, and the Mrs. lived on for many years — happy and totally without remorse.

I’m glad this fellow is getting a little revenge. (And, by the way, either sex can be the villain!)

Not so unusual. I have personal, first hand knowledge of a husband and wife that split years ago. Without warning, he came home from work and found the house stripped bare. She took just about everything except that she left him a folding table, one folding chair, one plate, one cup, one fork, one spoon and one knife. She also left one light bulb in the kitchen and one partial roll of TP. I’m pretty sure the table, chair, etc. came from a thrift store, too.

I don’t feel sorry for him.. He’s a dope.. She probably got frustrated with him.. Wish he’d correct his spelling on that dumb sign! :)

Yep. I know of someone who had their house stripped of everything all the way down to the electrical sockets.

I wonder if all these gay couples realize what they’re getting into when they get married, and the relationship goes sour?

Or will divorce laws be different for gays?

It was a 50-50 split.

She got half and her lawyer got half.

I remember Sam Kinison saying that he'd decided not to remarry because he didn't feel like continuing the pattern of giving away his stuff every five years or so.
