If North Korea Starts a War the United States Will Lose

The United States faces, in my opinion, a less than 0.5% chance of being hit by a crude or advanced fission type nuclear weapon by North Korea. In fact the delivery systems they currently possess limit the ability of the regime in Pyongyang to very few targets outside of their region, putting US troops at risk but worse, the ability to destroy America does exist in that region. One map illustrating the targets of highest probability demonstrates why:

Some interesting speculation on if kim jong ugh nukes Seoul and Tokyo, the US economy would crash hard. Hope it doesn't give idiot boy any ideas.

"5.Economic activity in the United States will be reduced by at least 20% within weeks and bankruptcies will skyrocket as a result within 6 months of the event. Unemployment will probably soar above 25% even using the fictitious BLS figures"

If Kim Dungun would happen to hit contention USA he still would do less damage than Barry Sorto.

I would worry about container ships coming from the Korean peninsula bearing gifts. Los Angeles could have a very bad day because some guy working in South Korea decided to accept the bribe offered by the guy from North Korea.

And if Seoul and Tokyo and Los Angeles all had a bad day on the same day ... yeah, that would hurt.

It is interesting reading. It’s a very “out-of-the-box” strategy - whether Kim III would pull it off (or attempt to) is hard to say.

But certainly, nuking Seoul and Tokyo without warning would be significantly devastating, not only in the Asian theatre, but globally as well.

Hyperbole upon hyperbole upon hyperbole upon hyperbole with every ounce of that hyperbole and every assumption being totally uneducated speculation, including massive speculative and uneducated importance of the the very selective facts that are presented

I put this one right up there with the others that require you put on little tinfoil hats.

Container ship off loads onto a shrimp boat, the shrimp boat goes to a harbor and off loads onto a truck, the truck drives to Atlanta or LA and KaBoom. We tend to think rockets and planes but there are simpler ways to make a delivery.

Dummies.

Iffen the NOrks DO hit us, it’ll be with a High Altitude (300 miles up kinda high) EMP nuke.

We make ABSOLUTELY NO PREPARATION for this kid of hit. It will essentially wipe out anything connected to the electrical grid—or stand-alone computers (like the dozen or so in YOUR CAR).

Bankrupcies? THAT’S your worry???? Yagottabekidding. Try no power, no water, no heat, no oil production, no industrial farming, refrigeration, etc. TRY-STARVING TO DEATH!

Yeah, we’ll lose all right.

I did read this AM that China is moving troops to the north, to position them closer to North Korea.
Even though China has tried to reason with this loon, I personally think they are sick of the twerp.
China could lose the same number of people that are in all of North Korea and still have a billion people, they may just swarm and wipe out the whole place.

EMP weapons are what I’m concerned about. They could put an innocent looking satellite into low Earth orbit and simply explode it over the region of choice without warning.

The DPRK is a PRC puppet state that outlived its usefulness and is now off the reservation.

There are several different ways for the PRC to play this.

He makes an interesting point about NK targeting Seoul and Tokyo. Both Japan and South Korea might cease to exist as economic powers for a time. However, I don’t see China as being the primary beneficiary. Instead, the United States would. If China backs NK in a nuclear conflict, our economic ties would unravel and stay that way—maybe for decades. Industry would relocate back to the US.

Japan would eventually recover. After all, they were already nuked twice and came back stronger than ever.

Interesting, there are a lot of ways they could do it.

Everyone says oh don't worry, they can't reach us.

Neither could Saudia Arabia, but they sent their terrorists to do it from here on 9/11/01.

Obama is such a "nice" guy (to our enemies, not our citizens), he has decreed that we will NOT do a preemptive attack on any enemies, but wait until they attack us before he will authorize any action towards the enemy. That includes nuclear attacks.

Even then he will probably waffle, he's such an inept leader.

After knowing he watched IN REAL TIME the Benghazi attack with our Americans being slaughtered when he could have done something again shows what kind of a despicable person he is.

"OH, I was sleeping and then went to Vegas, blame it on a hate video for a few weeks and then when Hilliary is finally asked months later, she can say 'What difference does it make now'"

“He makes an interesting point about NK targeting Seoul and Tokyo. Both Japan and South Korea might cease to exist as economic powers for a time”

for about ten days, tops

and within those ten days all of NK would be placed back in the stone ages

grave damage to Japan and SK yes - “fatal” blows? No.
