OMG !!!! I’ve been having a fight on FB for months with the friend of a friend about Sinatra, and he and his friends are going beserk that I dared to criticize him. One of them even said, “Cite one authority who sys that Sinatra can’t sing” - and I answered that even if I had the names of twenty people who agreed with me, I wouldn’t list them because I don’t make my judgements based on consensus - I do it based on my ear - he has a harsh tone and sings flat. I call his his style “all delivery, no voice.”
