Union Pacific railroad engineer brought his train to a screeching halt as the locomotive came roaring toward the 10-month old terrier mix Banjo

? To do so he could not have been moving at more than 5 MPH.

After reading that nonsense I was waiting on “the engineer was able to swerve just before hitting the pup”.

Where do they get these kind of dumb asses and do they even know just how dumb they sound when they write this kind of crap.

I agree. a “screeching halt” on a train is tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage to the wheels and brake pads.
