Dumb question: What about historical developments during the period which have been well attributed to the warm climate of the time?

The settlement of Greenland happened during the Medieval Warm and Greenland had to be abandoned after it ended.

The Renaissance of the 12th Century happened at this time. Although not directly climate related, it reinforces the fact that civilization tends to flourish better when the climate is warm.
