I’m surprised Tebow didn’t end up in Jacksonville. He has a lot of support down there and the hometown guy.
I’m not so willing to concede, as some here on this thread have, that Tebow “sucks” as a QB. He led the Broncos out of the cellar into the playoffs and actually won a game against an opponent (Steelers) most thought would win handily. In that partial season, Tebow threw for 12 TDs with only 6 INTs.
Is Tebow the second coming of Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady? Likely not... but to contend that he’s “awful,” or “sucks” is just as off-base. With some good coaching to tighten up the techniques, he’ll be a decent backup in the NFL or starter in the CFL.
I am not....don’t you recall a few months ago the GM of the Jags dissing Tebow at a press conference? He said emphatically that he couldn’t imagine a scenario where TT would join the team.
Hatred of outspoken Christians is welcome in the culture today.
I believe the media hatred of Tebow stems from his faith...Kurt Warner of the Rams-Cardinals faced the same.
IIRC Jax wanted him but he chose the Jets. If so, then the the flea bites he suffers are his own doing.
