steaming in an actual steamer is probably a better idea- I can’t imagine Costco selling an undercooked item (warm water?)
Steam will heat it hotter than boiling, but not boil away the flavor
Also, make sure you buy the same dogs they have- they may not be the same. You gotta have a good product if you are going to sell them for $1.49
My favorite way is BURNT BEYOND RECOGNITION!

That hasn't been the case for years. $1.49 is about middling for gas station hot dogs these days. A DECENT hot dog (e.g. Steak and Shake) runs closer to $3.
Oh, and grilling beats steaming ANY day.

IIRC, the Costco cafe umbrellas advertise “Sabrett” dawgs. We buy Nathan’s Famous at Costco, but I can’t imagine they don’t sell Sabrett.
