Thailand’s capital, the first point of entry for thousands who head to the country’s beaches, has been named the number one destination for international visitors in the Global Destination Cities Index forecast.

There are beaches around the globe and some pretty nice ones. How much of the tourist trade is there for sex tourism?

A very small percentage is there specifically for the sex trade, a few more are there for it combined with other activities. But it's a country with something for everyone, Just in my circle of people there are some who went trekking in the north for the entire trip,a few went on a special rock climbing trip and I always see families heading for the beaches/islands. I also think these high numbers are related to the fact that it's good place to stopover on long international flights, with Visa on arrival, lots of shopping, golf and plane flights everywhere. But the common denominator among people I’ve known is they want to see it before its overdeveloped and spoiled.
My last trip I saw and article that said US made up less than 10% of the sex travelers with the majorities Scandinavian,European and Asian.
