I think most tolerant muzzies can have a dog today if they they keep it out of the house and don’t contact it’s body fluids.
For “pure” muzzies it is not the case. Dogs are in class of all the other things infidel and has to be killed.

Similar situation here is Thailand. Lots of Muslims have dogs, although less than a few decades ago.
I have a distant Muslim family member that comes over sometimes and one of my dogs adores him. While initially uncomfortable, now he just accepts her jumping all over him.
