Spend about a week shopping in San Antonio. You’ll see.

Until then, think about it befor opining.

Singing the Star Spangled Banner in a foreign outfit is pushing it.

Would a Mariachi band of adults do this?

And during a time in which the locals are being told by their representatives that they are expected to put the illegals above themselves in all ways?

They are favored for jobs, scholarships, college admissions, language, and now their costume of country of origin at this time during our national anthem?

The angry commenters are not the only ones not engaging their brains.

Really, what the hell difference what the kid wore? Perhaps it is his best set of clothes. Perhaps HE chose to wear what makes him feel comfortable to perform in. Perhaps he believes he looks good in it. Should he have worn a tracksuit with a headband and bobo’s? He didn’t sing the Mexican anthem, he sang the American anthem. And quite well, too.
I think we too often get so wrapped up in seeing political motives behind every action. Motives where none exist. Shadows where the Sun shines brightly.
He did good. He sang with spirit and panache. He actually showed more spirit than some of the players, bouncing foot to foot while he sang. God bless the kid for having the maturity and gumption to stand before thousands and sing his heart out.
To me, THAT is the American spirit. Do your best, do it right and be proud while you do it.
