If you ran a computer with no harddrive and ran off a linux live disc the computer itself wouldn’t save anything for them to find later.

I once worked with a young Pakistani fellow. He told me virtually any kind of hacker or pirate software your heart desires could be bought at bazaars there.

That's been done.

Anonymous remailers were typically set up like that. It was incredibly simple to have a headless box out there just doing work completely in memory, even back in the day before we had multi-GB of ram.

It'd be really easy to do a kiosk-type network setup like that these days. If you ever wanted persistant storage, you could write to usb.
