I have another theory as well that perhaps Dr. Savage was trying to "stir the pot" to get the minority community to tune in and boost his listenership. That would be a brilliant move on his part.

If so, that would be blood money to him.

You carry a gun that way and you will be” dead on”..the ground.

The thug jumping you won’t politely wait while you chamber a round.

“Maybe for law enforcement or military”

So law enforcement are allowed to protect themselves and I am not? If you have some reason to think you might need a gun (which, as it turns out, he did) you need it now, not after a slow, two handed operation. I repeat, it would be fatally stupid to carry a gun which is not operational. Always carry with a round in the chamber. Always.

But lets talk about the ridiculous LEFTIST notion that carrying with a round in the chamber is proof that you are intending to go out and shoot some random black person. I am not the only one telling you that a round in the chamber is the normal accepted way to carry the gun, I am not the only person walking around on a daily basis with a round in the chamber and not shooting any random black people.

“That was Michael’s main point and he is dead on.”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Had Zimmerman carried that way HE would be “dead on” the ground! A semi-automatic weapon carried that way would have been of no more use than an unloaded one in a hand to hand struggle. A revolver can be carried with an empty chamber under the firing pin since pulling the trigger will rotate the next chamber into position but a semi-auto with an empty chamber will not fire unless both hands are used to rack the weapon. Savage is off his rocker on this one.

A racking takes about half a second and with no other safety

and it takes 2 hands. Never carry with an empty chamber.

Savage has it wrong but it improves the ratings !

#1 GZ going to the store, observes individual acting like on drugs; TM looking into homes while its raining

#2 notified non-emergency number of questionable behavior (looking in windows)who appears under influence of drugs

#3 GZ calls administrative number to advise of his obsevations . Informed by a CIVILIAN ( non-emergency -not a cop!) no need to pursue. (Adminstrative civilian asked for physical description )

#4 GZ loses sight of TM ,administrative operator asked for street address / location, GZ gets out of his vehicle to determine his location , and while returning to vehicle he is confronted and attacked by TM.

#5 GZ did not pull the gun until after being struck, lying prone on his back with his head on sidewalk after “sucker punched”
by MMA style ‘shock punch’ which broke his nose , and attempted suffocation by TM holding his mouth closed and broken nose closed , and head banged on sidewalk.

#6 TM sitting astride (MMA STYLE) GZ , using MMA style punches , limiting arm movement and protective response by GZ on his back.
Obsevered by (only verified physical witness) Good that man on top was punching MMA style on victim (wearing red)who was on the bottom. . Zimmerman was wearing red clothes .

#7 while astride fighting,TM notices GZ handgun in holster as GZ’s shirt rides up ,TM goes for it, GZ knows it is chambered and lets one shot go from the holster.

#8 One shot goes off TM tells GZ “you got me “. Police arrive within minutes, observe GZ clothes and GZ cuts , blood, and broken nose. GZ immediately gives police a statement without lawyer . Next day GZ reconstructs the situation without benefit of a lawyer

Where Savage gets it wrong :
#1 TM is into MMA training , not GZ (see cellphone info not allowed in judicial hearing by the judge).
#2 GZ has one load in the chamber (Known in police/security circles as : “running hot” ~ standard procedure for LEOs)not civilians.
#3 TM circled arround, back-tracked ,rather than returning to his residence, in order to confront GZ ; and with element of surprize TM broke GZ nose with “sucker punch” MMA style stun hit .
#4 TM has drugs at time of death in system, and has recently purchased products for making ‘”lean”/ Purple Drank’ .
#5 TM has (prior to the incident )school security charges for fighting , for poss. burglar tools/ jewelry which goes into Sanford PD property clerk under CR# (Crime Report#).
#6 GZ has a right to protect himself from death, or serious physical injury.
#7 Savage says that the ME (medical examiner) who stated that GZ injuries weren’t serious /sufficient did her analysis from a photo (!!) given her by the prosecution more than three months after the fact.
#8 The Medical Examiner has questionable political motivation, as well as questionable professional credentials

What Savage has right :
#1 both perp and victim have equal personal responsibility for their actions .
#2 GZ has “hot load” in his hangun ; GZ has no other non-lethal protection in his posession .
#3 This is a media / political / racial incident controlled and driven by the media ; otherwise it wouldn’t be covered by 4 media networks. Media took certain ‘liberties’ and editied data of the incident to make it look racialy motivated.
#4 This is a public “Show Trial” akin to the old Soviet Republic by the media. That is why there is all the ‘hype’.

Savage pointed out two items as “proof” that George was reckless and deserving of manslaughter charges.

1) the round was chambered.
2) the safety was off.

While the first issue has rightly been called out here as more than a bit naïve, the second one is even more deserving of ridicule — as the Keltec 9mm is a dual action only and HAS NO MANUAL SAFETY.

Say what? An unloaded gun is the equivalent of having a rock your hand. Sheesh!

Are you actually so unknowledgeable about firearms or are you just a leftist troll...or both?

When you draw you want to simply be able to pull the trigger and have it go “boom.” The last thing in the world you want to do is have to rack the slide and chamber a round. Yes, there are professionals out there who can do this lighting fast, but for 99% of gun owners having to rack a round will likely be a death sentence in a deadly force situation.

Your post shows your ignorance with guns and the concept of carrying. You do not leave an empty chamber. If your idea was so great, police would be doing it. They aren’t.

Savage pushed hard in 2006 for the Republicans to lose the house. He screamed and yelled 24/7 how much better it would be for the GOP to lose - to teach them a lesson - that nothing could be as bad as Bush and the lame brain congress full of soft GOP liberals. Then Pelosi took over and we got socialized health care, Obama and the moslem brotherhood all in 2 years. Savage is personally responsible for the destruction of this country. He is a snake and speaks with a forked tongue. That’s all.

I had to go to the store and my car radio is always on talk radio. Savage happened to be on (whom I have not listened to in years) and when I heard him start to say that I immediately turned it off. Savage is so into himself.

Savage is no leftist.

Strange bedfellows: Michael Savage Donates to Democrats (San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 10/16/06 )

Strange bedfellows: It turns out that ultra-hot conservative talk show host Michael Savage is backing Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown for state attorney general.

"What can I say? I think he'd make a great attorney general compared to the other guy. By the way, who is the other guy?'' Savage said, when asked why he chose Democrat Brown over conservative Republican Chuck Poochigian.

Savage, whose rants can be heard locally on KNEW-AM, is backing up his hot talk with some hot money as well. Savage Productions, which lists Savage as president and his wife, Janet Weiner, as director, has donated $5,600 to Brown's campaign.

"You have to make choices in an imperfect world,'' Savage said. "And this, this Machugian guy. (Like we said, it's Poochigian.) I never heard of him. I don't even know who he is." Poochigian has spent the past 12 years in Sacramento, first in the Assembly and now in the Senate. Doesn't impress the president of the Savage Nation.

"Why bet on a horse that isn't going to win? Why throw your money into the garbage?'' So how did the best-selling author of "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder'' wind up backing a liberal once nicknamed "Governor Moonbeam"? "People change. He changed. He has experience,'' Savage said of Brown.

And it's not an isolated case.

“2) the safety was off.”

No way! Savage is saying he’s guilty because the safety was off? A Keltec PF-9 doesn’t even have a safety! That leftist is just making stuff up now. For all you gun safety fans, the PF-9 has a really long, but smooth and pleasant, trigger pull and I guess they think of that as their safety. If you pocket carry always, always, always, carry in a pocket holster that protects the trigger.
