Savage: You have to find Zimmerman Guilty (audio)
conservativebyte.com ^ | 7/5/2013 | unk

Posted on 07/06/2013 7:29:00 PM PDT by Signalman

This is a strange analysis from someone who is usually pretty conservative. He is claiming some things that the prosecution isn’t even presenting. Even if what Savage is saying is true, I’m not sure how that changes what happened. Check it out:

On his show on, talk show host Michael Savage said that George Zimmerman, who is currently on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin, should be found guilty of second-degree manslaughter based on two things: 1) The state of his firearm and 2) The language he allegedly used on a 911 call when he was first reporting his suspicions about Martin.

But first Savage explained why his insight should be valued over others in the media covering the trial.

“I’m about to break an analysis that no one yet in the media has done, as you would expect from me — being the senior member of the American media and possibly the most insightful,” Savage said. “And I have to blow my own horn because everyone else tries to break my horn.”

“Are we supposed to keep the first chamber in the cylinder empty ?”

Double action - No, however it's a personal choice - the Colt 38 next to my bed is fully loaded. The Ruger 38 next to my chair is fully loaded. My rifle is fully loaded - with maximum magazine full.

There is a reason for “holes” in a cylinder - those holes are for cartridges - empty holes do you no good.

This is why I dropped the thread. If he is serious, he is dead wrong. If for ratings, he is dead wrong. Last straw and all that. I still recommend his books, “The Political Zoo” and “Pyschological Nudity”. His nutritional books I know not.

Our neighborhood has a Neighborhood Watch program. In the past when I have seen something suspicious I have gone outside with my "personal friend" Siggy and my cell phone. Siggy has one round in the chamber and the trigger pulled back with the safety on. I never realized that I should not carry that way because that could be interpreted that I want to murder someone! Thank you Mr. Savage!

I guess Mr. Savage has never participated in a neighborhood watch program. The idea is to STOP crime and keep criminals out of your neighborhood. I could easily see the chain of events that Z went through that night. He sees a person acting suspiciously and does everything to supply the police with accurate information on the perp. Z had no idea that TM would go postal and attack him.

Savage is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. He will never listen to anyone who disagrees with his stance, especially anyone with Christian beliefs.

Turned him off about 12 or 15 years ago. Calling him an idiot is an insult to all idiots.

Savage, you should have either stayed on the booze or not started again.

DAO, dumba$$ - THERE IS NO EXTERNAL SAFETY.

Mr Zimmerman was carrying the weapon as it was designed to be carried. MY Springfield Armory XD-M 3.8 in .40S&W is carried with a round in the chamber and 16 in the magazine - the way it was designed to be carried.

Savage’s argument that Zimmerman would not have been able to chamber a round with one hand while being pummeled against the concrete is PRECISELY WHY THE WEAPON WAS DESIGNED TO BE CARRIED AS ZIMMERMAN DID. Quite the non-sequitur, Savage.

In the few moments it takes to unholster, get a sight picture and fire, the perp kills the victim, if the perp has a knife and was initially within 12 - 15 feet of the victim. Who the hell would want to be futzing with the slide and a safety in that situation?!!!

Would you roll those dice, Savage?
Stick with what you know, sir.

.........................Zimmerman, who is currently on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin, should be found guilty of second-degree manslaughter .....................

WAIT A MINUTE - SECOND DEGREE MANSLAUGHTER???

Not second degree murder???

That might sound reasonable if Zim gets a coupla years in jail with his wife at his side

That way he doesn’t get to be in the middle of the riots and hopefully he’s able to walk out of the prison without a black assassin taking him down.

Zimmerman is an embarrassment to CCW and Stand Your Ground supporters. He should be found not guilty merely because it’s a he/she said thing but the whole affair is dubious.

Two idiots just happened to meet and formed the perfect storm.

"They’ve overcharged him, manslaughter might have been sustainable, 2nd degree murder is a stretch."

Hopefully irrelevant to the jury. The reason I say this is since Travon was 17, manslaughter carries the same sentence as 2nd degree murder.

If the jury is briefed on the penalties of the two charges they may be inclined to go acquittal as a lesser conviction in this case does not carry a lesser punishment.

On the other hand they may be inclined to vote guilty on the 2nd degree murder as it doesn't carry a greater punishment.

Or they just might think that the DA was making the perfect case for the police... which was to press no charges.

On the other hand they would be finding the Governor and the special state attorney guilty of political correctness in the 1st degree and find the defendant Not guilty.

He’s dead wrong on this and he needs to get off it. But he’s been so right on so many things — and ahead of the curve on many of them.

Noted restaurant critic Michael Savage weighs in, and as usual the diatribe makes little, if any sense.

Thirty five years I've been going to this place. Thirty five years! But no more. OK, so Teddy bit a kid. So what? He had it coming. The mother was breast feeding the little brat right there at the next table, and Teddy knows how I feel about that, so he jumped up in her lap and bit the little jerk. Should have bit the old lady, too. They sent over a roll of garlic bread to make peace with me today. Schmendricks. I'm never going back. Never. Can't even enjoy a bite in a neighborhood pizzeria with your dog anymore without someone breast feeding a kid.
