At some point, you just need to go ahead and get on out of the car.

It doesn't matter why he did it. He had the right to get out of his car. Period. End of story.

He was looking to find a street address to meet the officers at, this was part of the complex area he was not as familiar with and didn’t want to send them to a place he wasn’t going to be because he got a street name wrong. Cops had originally wanted to meet at his home and asked for his home address, but he wasn’t sure where the person ran off to and didn’t want to say his address out loud in case it was overheard by the person he was chasing.

It doesn’t matter. That community is where he lived, and if he wanted to walk around, so what!

The dispatcher wanted to know where St. Tray went so they could send the police to the correct address. St. Tray wandered down a sidewalk between two rows of housed where the road didn’t go and George couldn’t see him anymore..

As the neighborhood watch he was trying to keep an eye on the guy he'd called the police about.

Because the drive-in burglary & beatings window was closed.
What a stupid question!?

I’m guessing he was checking Martin out. He was on a neighborhood watch and saw a kid he didn’t recognize.

If you have to ask that question to understand, no answer is possible.

Because Martin had moved out of his view and wanted to be able to tell the authorities where he went.
To: katieanna
Not trying to be funny. My understanding is that Zimmerman phoned 911 from inside his car and was told to stay put and not to pursue TM. I am asking how it came to be that he at some point got out of the car and followed TM. Again, thanks to anyone who knows the answer.
To: katieanna
Zimmerman can get out of the car when he wants, it’s called the United States.

That’s a myth, he was already outside of the car when he called. Question answered.

Kate, he got out of the car because he felt like it. so what. Perfectly legal.
What if he profiled Trayvon because he was black? So what? Jesse Jackson does this too.
Doesn’t change the fact that testimony in the trial supported that Tray, 6 feet 170 lbs jumped Zimmerman and was doing a pound and ground.
Then Z, shorter older and weighing the same got his gun out and shot him
