yeah, I agree. Sometimes it is more humane to put the pet to sleep.
I love my pets and would never do them harm. But I do not put them on the same level as people.
So sorry if I got someones dander up.
I’m far from being a cat lover, but Punkin is my favorite.
Wow, Punkin is 16? Cats can live well over 20 years, I hope she ignores the average age for her breed and keeps giving us Punkin stories for many more years.
They make a Urinary Tract cat food that will combat this condition. Usually female cats won’t get it, it is more common in male cats. I have a male(3 cats altogether)that suffers from this and I simply feed him a steady diet of Urinary tract cat food. For a while I had to buy a special prescription food from the vet but then I was able to switch to over the counter brands. It has been years since he had an episode. I am surprised Rush’s vet doesn’t know this.
Our cat is 20. Over the last year she has really slowed down but is so affectionate. At bed time she comes and gathers me up if I am watching TV and meows till I head off to bed...she sleeps on my arm. We know the end is coming soon for her statistically and medically. I am not so sure I want to go down this road again so we may be former pet carers. Her sister died last year and while not was affectionate as this one we still miss her.
I’d love to see the care Rush would give to Obama if he were in his care. Bet the cat does a million times better.
Rush is amazing but if I want cat stories I’ll tune to the Serengeti Channel.Osama Obama’s in the process of giving voting rights to 30 million illiterate wetbacks and bringing the world’s best health care system to its knees. Please Rush...no more golf...no more Apple...no more “Pumpkin”.Leave that stuff to Oprah and Ellen Degenerate.
Sorry to hear that. My prayers are with you.
Thank You, FRiend.
No, but some live quite a long time, (much longer than most breeds of dogs). We had a cat names Priscilla that lived to 22 (parents got her as a kitten when I was 6 in 1981 and took of picture of me holding her. Then one day when I was visiting after I turned 26 in 2001 they took another picture of me holding her the same way and put them side by side in the photo album. Priscella lived another two years after this until they finally had to have her put down because she was deaf, blind and had lost all control of her bladder.
A man who loves a cat cannot be evil.
Tell the libs.
His obvious love for that dear cat during that monologue was charming.
So sorry, and hoping it works out differently. My Maxwell, a dachshund, is 15. He struggles. We give him water IV subq injections every day for his kidneys. Lots of arthritis and heart issues. But he still has a gleam in his eye and he hops, thinking he is running. I am hypervigilent all the time and is breaking my heart. So you do have company in understanding.
One of our kitties — our most docile one — freaked me out a couple of times. He shrieked, lost control of his bladder, zoomed around aimlessly, bumped into walls, had dilated eyes, and was foaming at the mouth. The doctor said they’re convulsions that are classic signs of epilepsy, and that we need to keep an eye on him. If/when it happens again, phenobarbitol can be given daily to keep it in check.
Punkin is a beautiful cat!
She’s a cutie!
We love our furry friends, and it is so hard to go through this.
Haven’t heard it yet. I listen to podcasts and I’m a bit behind schedule.
I had no idea Punkin is 16. I have a 12 year old English Bulldog who is nearing the end. I will be a basket case when he dies.
So sorry. Wishing for healing for your heart.
Thank You, FRiend.
