I don't blame Paterno only - but unless you've never read anything at all about this story before, it should be obvious that he was one of the key players in this scandal and that he failed miserably in his responsibilities.

His status as a corpse is beside the point - were he still alive, his actions would require the same review.

A pathetic person is someone who would excuse a bad actor from responsibility simply because he is dead.
