Where I live the mail boxes for four houses are grouped together. If a dog saw his owner take stuff out of their box the dog might consider the whole group of boxes as his property to protect.
Just a thought.
Oh, I agree, that could be a possibility—I just don’t think it should factor into the actions of either neighbor.
