I agree that we need to organize rallies. But my observation is that conservative rallies get less media coverage when they happen on weekends. Please chime in if you have different views on this.
I attended the Audit the IRS rally in DC on June 19. Due to other obligations, I couldn’t leave Atlanta until the evening of June 18.
I drove all night and arrived in DC at about 8am the next day. The rally was planned to start at noon the same day. I had reserved a hotel room in Alexandria for June 19 and luckily they were able to do early check in.
I was able to shower and catch the Metro for Capitol Hill for the rally and arrived before it started.
I was worried that I’d be too tired for the rally but the energy of the thousands of rally goers (and plenty of coffee) kept me going until I returned to the hotel in the evening (I actually did some sightseeing after the rally).
And I’m 55yo. Weekday rallies can be done if there’s advanced planning.
The media will try to ignore whatever they can but numbers are always a powerful persuader.
