I'd say Burning Man's days are numbered.
It was probably great, when few people knew about it.
But, when it gets to the point where you have a bunch of pencil-necked geeks with clipboards showing up to study people,
it's probably over.
Been at the Utah location since 1990. Been articles about it for years. From what I have read it is something I would avoid like the plague.
I’ve only been once, about to go to my second. But yes, I have the feeling its days are numbered, just because of critical mass. It’s too popular, too expensive, crowded with RV’s, somehow commercial despite no commerce allowed onsite. I think the Wasteland Weekend offers more of the “controlled chaos” that BM used to.
