Rumor or conjecture about what? The Perry issue is and always was one of the state imposing a vaccination requirement for a sexually transmitted disease on every school girl in the state. That is a parent's right to decide and no business of the state. The MMR vaccine is for contagious diseases and has nothing to do with the Gardasil controversy.
The vaccine is not effective past adolescence. A kid or young adult need not be promiscuous to benefit from the vaccine. Once is all it takes including a wedding night.
I too felt the vaccine intrusive and would have vetoed it until it was explained in purely medical logic.
If it was testicular cancer from sex I’m sure a lot of fathers would be vaccinating their boys.
