Steve Lawrence has always been a favorite of mine. Never liked Eydie that much.
But they were a remarkable couple. I was watching an old Sanford and Son episode where Steve and Eydie encountered Fred Sanford in Las Vegas. That was from 40 years ago. They had that much staying power and enjoyed a great life together.
RIP Eydie.

She had an incredible voice - I was always impressed. I remember back in the golden age of variety shows Eydie and Steve Lawrence would do some excellent duets.

I still care
(I miss my friends, bagels, and the NYC skyline - but not the taxes. I love the South.)

Oh lighten up Francis. Some of us got a chuckle out of it.

I suspect that the image was made well before today.
It's visually punny.
Not at all like your post.

I got to see them live once. It was amazing. I must have been 15 or so and it still made an impression.

She just died? At 84?
I would have thought she was 104 and died a long time ago...
Rest in Peace beautiful woman.

I recall many evenings growing up listening to her and to her husband, Steve Lawrence, sing on many of the tv variety shows of the 50s - 70s until that type went away. May she now join the heavenly choir.
