Might as well get Adam West if they are stooping this low.

Affleck as Batman? Well, Woody Allen was James Bond once...ick...

“Keaton was good, I thought.” Very good, very underrated. I remember seeing the first one he was in on a date at the movies.

Bale, to me overall, is tolerable in small doses. I still think “American Psycho” was his best work. If he did turn down $50 million for ~20 minutes of screen time, wow.

100% agree - the Kilmer flick was better than the Clooney flick, not that that says much.

I've some how managed to not be aware of it. IMDB says it was a serial. That explains why the running time was over four hours.

It's on YouTube, so I can fill in one of the many holes left by tv programmers during my youth.

If you are too young to recall, once upon a time Burt Lancaster and Brando were condsidered for the Caped Crusader role.

The biggest problem with casting Batman that Hollywood seems to overlook is that Batman is supposed to be an uber-confident badass who even a mortal god like Superman respects. Quite frankly, I don't think even Bale measured up, even though the fighting skills were spot on. I don't know if Affleck will be able to pull it off, but I'll be rooting for him - otherwise it's another 20 years before it'll be attempted again.

For Superman it's the same thing - he must be portrayed having leadership qualities that other super-powered beings would want to look up to and follow. Earnest, but a warrior. Chris Reeve definitely could have pulled it off. I think Cavill could - hopefully the next movie will be set a few years in the future. One of the aspects I did not like about MOS was his (and the other Kryptonians) ability to adapt and use their newly discovered powers.

The best depiction of Batman/Superman is the JLA animated shows. Just follow that

Ben Affleck is an Alec Baldwin wannabe.

Maybe Affleck can bring some extra sandwiches next time on set, because Ms. Gadot is going to need them. I now she’s a former Miss Israel, but Wonder Woman? Really?
