“Phosporous and napalm act differently.”

Am beginning to think the author of this story does not know the difference.

Certurion316 isn’t phosporous something the Israelis us a lot?

It is white phosphorus aka 'willy pete' or WP, that glorious chemical that gives the beautiful long lasting white smoke for marking targets, screening and incendiary effects. Red phosphorus is also used, but it doesn't give that pillar of smoke as well as the WP.

Napalm is a great anti-personnel soft target weapon. It has fallen into disfavor in the US, Mk-77 firebombs are kerosene based, they are more green, but I doubt any in the 'splash' area really care.

All militaries concerned with winning use both WP and firebombs, not just Israelis.
