I’m a firm believer in insurance - car insurance, health insurance, home insurance, etc. My very conservative parents brought me up to be responsible, which means buying insurance.

I’m sure I’ve paid much more in car insurance, health insurance, and home insurance than I’ve ever received from them in return. But I knew that was a possibility when I bought them in the first place. Yes, I’m paying for other folks’ health care right now. I’m paying for other folks’ damaged cars and hail damage to their homes. That’s fine. That’s the nature of insurance. In fact, if, over my whole life, I pay more in insurance than I get in return, I’m fine with that.

I will continue to buy insurance and I encourage every responsible individual to do likewise. Right now uninsured individuals are a drain on the hospitals and on the U.S. government. Who ends up paying for them? That’s you and me.

So phooey to you! I pay for my health and I do it in a responsible way. You haven’t paid a penny for any of my medical care. Moreover, as I stated, our income in retirement is too high to get any health insurance subsidies. So we’re paying plenty in taxes and we’re paying for other folks’ health insurance subsidies. I’m fine with that. Everyone need to have health insurance!

You are a logic idiot.

CAR INSURANCE
Does your car insurance pay for gas, oil changes, new tires, brakes, car washes? NO, it doesn’t it is for YOUR liability to pay back any money you owe on the car or to protect you from a large bill when you cause an accident. Not at all like Health Insurance.

HEALTH INSURANCE
Obamacare pays for a zillion little things, disregards you being FAT, SMOKING, An IDIOT, etc. So no matter how poorly you treat your body or how healthy you act you are covered. Not at all like CAR INSURANCE

If the Government were not involved you wouldn’t need health insurance, you could buy whatever service you wished, whenever you wanted it, and the price would be set by the market. (Shocker but free markets really work!)

People buy the services they need in an open and free market. Much like car repairs, or new tires, you could buy a doctor checkup or a flu shot.

And yes people do pay for your healthcare. If you are so “Wealthy” you should know a little about MATH. And if you can afford to retire at 60 you can afford to pay your own way without insurance, or Obamacare.

So double dutch phooey back at you!
