Log books? If the driver is within a hundred miles of his home base he doesn’t need to fill out a log book.

Depends on what the driver is doing and if they keep true and accurate time records. There are reasons a 100 air mile driver might have to have a log book for a single day.

If the driver didn’t have log books, they wouldn’t have known that he drove too many hours, which is what the ticket was for.
