Major developments after Sunday night's episode:
1. Hank and Gomie are killed and buried in the desert by Jack and gang.
2.Jack gives Walt one barrel of money and takes off with the rest of the 80 mil.
3. Walt, Jr. learns the truth about his father.
4. Jesse is kidnapped by Todd and forced to cook.
5. Walt takes full blame (with the police listening in) to clear Skyler. She is aware of what he is doing.
6. Episode ends with Walt getting in that van (with his one barrel of money that Jack allowed him) and heading off to a new identity.
OMG. Great television!
But what now?
.
Maybe, but for a chemist there are a lot of better poisons than ricin if suicide is your goal.
A sincere and hearty "Thank you!" for taking the time to descend from your lofty perch & surely overburdened schedule to let us mouthbreathers know Breaking Bad is a make-believe TV show & not reality.
Most useful contribution to FR today!
Phew, was just about to call my doctor for a prescription for Aricept!
My husband keeps telling me I miss these things....maybe I should miss HIM!
Walt will kill Jack and crew as revenge for killing Hank. Jesse will cause an explosion in the lab that kills Todd and Lydia. Marie will commit suicide. The ricin is to kill Saul so he can’t implicate Skyler.
On second thought, I agree with you. Must be tough not to spill the beans once you have been executed on the show.
IIRC walt has 10-12 million from one of the drums. 70 mill or so to the other guys.
“What else did I miss from Talking Bad? Anything ignificant??”
The beauty of a well written show is that everything can be significant. Rarely does a good director show extraneous scenes eg.. someone tying their shoes... unless that is a real part of the story line.I love the way this show is written as to style because they almost always show you the future in their opening scenes and then masterfully weave their story line to bring you to that very scene. Minimal use of the “deus ex machina” writing gotcha’s goes on here.
This is Monday, Breaking Bad was on last night, Sunday. The people who are commenting on Monday, are people who have seen the show and want to share. Especially now that it is down to the wire, with only two episodes left, and there is so much going on.
I just believe that it is the individual's responsibility to not click on a thread about a show that they have not watched yet. Everyone else on there is going to be commenting on it. Just pass it by until you have seen the episode. That's all I'm saying --- don't tell people who have seen the episode and want to discuss it, that they shouldn't do "spoilers". After you have seen the ep, you want to talk about the big stuff. Expecting people not to do so is not realistic.
Jesse will somehow live. I do not know why Walter told Jesse he watched his GF die via overdose.
I saw when he comes back to his boarded-up house and finds the ricin; I am not sure if he uses that for him, or Jesse.
Skylar and her sister are toast, maybe even Junior.
I've read a lot of speculation that the ricin is actually for Lydia, the tea drinker.
And, for those with a wry sense of humor, there are some who speculate (for fun, I think) that the blue meth is what starts the Zombie Apocalypse in The Walking Dead. I find this more amusing than realistic, but I thought it was funny.
You didn’t know about anything I was doing.
Cleared Skylar.
Did anyone else think Walt has another two barrels buried ($22MM) or so that the gang didn’t discover? The rear-view mirror adjustment he made...?
I am 59, and my husband is 61 and we both enjoy the writing, acting and production of this show. It is engrossing and it tackles many subjects. Like, how a man, very worried about his family after a terminal cancer diagonsis, can become unrecognizable in his search for power and money; all the while deluding himself that he is a good man and a family man, as he destroys the very thing he set out to save.
And, as an aside, sometimes you just need to have a break from the reality of Obama's America and get lost in someone else's problems.
I agree, it is sort of like watching the country crumble like the drug culture does, eventually.
Holy Cow! Is that you Vince Gilligan? LOL!
Holy Cow! Is that you Vince Gilligan? LOL!
+1.
Wrong. I like everything but the last one about Saul dying. AMC already has announced “Better Call Saul” the spin-off series.
Saul won’t/can’t die.
Better Call Saul !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like Jesse’s new setup in the new meth lab. How he is tethered to a clothesline the way some people do with dogs. Now he has to cook some blue meth for the Aryan nation dudes
