They and the liberals who hate conservative talk radio hosts who Savage constantly attacks just might make Savage Number One.
I [over] react about all this primarily because I had decades of Fairness Doctrine radio when Buckley's Firing Line on PBS was literally considered all the fairness conservatives needed. I'd rather see civil war than to see that happen again.
BTW speaking of Ma'am and admirals. I remember the admiral responding to Sen. Boxer's questions with "Ma'am" and she admonished him to call her Senator and explained how hard she works and how much she deserves the title.
45 more minutes to Savage in my market. Sounds like one of THOSE shows. He knocks Hannity and the others, then in the next breath wonders why they didnt come to his defense when he was banned in Britain. He steals their phrases and ideas, then accuses them of stealing from him. He ridicules them for hawking things, then talks about his next Hatfield novel. I noticed that he stopped asking for money for his defense funds. Mark Levin was the one who pointed out the inappropriateness if this when he was also bragging about his boat, classic cars and multiple studios, not to mention his son Russell’s success with Rockstar. Wonder how much he donated to the old man’s defense funds?
Levin did defend him vis-a-vis England. I remember a caller surprised Levin with a question about it. Levin did not react in any fashion. He explained that the banning was wrong. He continued the conversation -- if a caller ever asked Savage about Levin I think it's given that Savage would explode into a gusher of rage and condemnation of the caller -- similar to the time a caller told him that he was a great American. BTW I recall that Bill Cunningham thought Savage was attacking him (the "great American" thing is his) and Cunningham opened his Sunday night national show with the recording a couple of times. He always had nice things to say about Savage up until then.
But Levin routinely gets his digs in.. I recall once Levin saying that if he ever met Savage in person he'd kick the little $%&#*!'s ass (or similar comment). I think Levin also has the assignment to respond to Savage for Limbaugh and Hannity.
But the good Savage still outweighs the peskiness.
