Ouzo does suck if you drink the cheap variety (e.g. arrow brand) If you drink the good stuff like metaxa #12 you will notice a difference. But with ouzo it always boils down to one question : "do you like the taste of licorice?"

The one flavor I cannot stand is licorice or anise. Yuk!

Only thing worse is Greek `retsina’ wine. Tastes like turpentine. Made that way to avoid taxation.

Anyway, this story doesn’t pass the smell test. Wonder if we have a phony vet here.
