We will never be respected in the world again until some huge event similar to WW II and global catastrophe makes us come in and save the world again, provided dims are not in charge in which case we will be on the wrong side. IN the very least we need several terms of a string conservative leadership in DC to stop the bleeding.
That said I am to the point the heck with the world let them fend for themselves like we do.
I agree, but if there isn’t firepower backing up the exceptionalism you won’t get far.
A smile, a kind word, and a gun will generally get you further than just a smile and kind word.
No doubt if the US Treasury sells trillions more in bonds to finance a big war, things will be glorious again.

Well...except when it didn’t, like ever. Most of the world’s bag guy’s only understand (respect) swift and blinding force — Everything else really only amounts to sending a six year old to his bedroom for a time-out (net result attitude unchanged).
But...the left seems to feel good with themselves after waving their finger at evil in the world and that that will cure all the problems.
