In 2012, the USPS had its third straight year of losses from operations, which amounted to $4.8 billion. And you know they won’t go bankrupt. The mail will continue. They can lose billions every year — but, like any private corporation in America [/s] they will magically stay in business.
There are a lot of reasons why USPS loses money, and no one could rationally claim they couldn’t be more efficient.
