I had My previous cat for ten years. After I had had him for awhile, I happened to notice that there were always some people he just never liked. No apparent reason, he just stayed away from them.

After a few years I noticed that all the people he disliked either turned on Me, turned their backs when I needed help, or outright stabbed Me in the back eventually.

Lesson learned; if he did not like them or warm up to them then we went our separate ways. My life became less stressful and worrysome as a result and his life was one calm day after another as well.

Animals have great instincts.

I’ve heard the same thing from a dog owner before. Animals do seem to sense things we can’t.

Animals are much, much smarter then we give them credit for.

That’s also what a lot of men have wives for.

I had a big orange and white Tom cat who was the opposite. He deliberately sought out people who didn’t like him and pestered them until they made friends with him. I remember one time when we were conducting a Campfire girls ceremmonial in my living room. There were 16-20 little girls and their mothers there for the occasion.

“Tigger” strolled in during the most solemn part of the ceremony, circled the room, and then leapt into the lap of the mother wearing a navy blue serge suit, leaving bits of fur all over her.
